1. Who is responsible
BizJourney (“we”) is responsible for your data. Email [FILL IN: contact email address] or use the contact form in Help & Support with any question about it.
2. What we collect
Playing without an account
Your progress, settings and language choice are saved only in your own browser (see the Cookies and local storage page). They are not sent to us.
If you create an account
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | To sign you in, confirm your account and send password-reset emails. |
| Password | To sign you in. It is handled by our authentication provider, Supabase, which stores it in hashed form. We cannot read it. |
| Display name (optional; if left empty, the part of your email before the @ is used) | To show your name in the app. |
| Game progress and settings (a copy of what the app stores in your browser) | To sync your progress between devices. |
| Account creation and last-update times | To run and secure the account. |
If you subscribe to Pro
Payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe’s own checkout page. We never see or store your card details. When you tick the box before checkout, we record your chosen plan and the time you agreed to immediate start and no refunds with your subscription at Stripe, as proof of that agreement. From Stripe we store your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, plan, subscription status and the end date of the current billing period, so the app knows whether Pro is active.
If you contact support
When you send a message through Help & Support, we store your email address, the topic and text of your message, your language, whether you have Pro, your browser name and version, your screen size and, if you are signed in, your account ID. We use this only to answer you and fix problems. It is stored in our Supabase database and is never used for marketing.
Technical data
When your browser loads the site, the providers listed in section 4 receive your IP address and normal browser information, because that is needed to deliver files and requests to you. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not sell or share your data for advertising.
Sharing and translation
The Share button uses your device’s share menu or copies a link to your clipboard. The shared link contains utm_source=share; nothing about you is added to it. Where your browser offers a built-in translation feature, the app may use it to translate text; that feature is provided by your browser.
3. Legal bases
We use account and subscription data to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract), and technical data to keep the service working and secure (legitimate interests). We keep payment records where the law requires it (legal obligation).
4. Service providers
| Provider | What it does | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Accounts, sign-in emails and the database that stores account data and support messages | United States (AWS us-east-2) |
| Stripe | Payments and the subscription management page | Depends on your region (see stripe.com/privacy) |
| Google Fonts | Delivers the fonts used on the site | Google servers |
| Our website host | Delivers the website files | Varies |
Because account data is stored in the United States, it may be transferred outside your country. For these transfers we rely on the safeguards our providers offer, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep data
- Account data is kept until you delete your account.
- Support messages are kept for up to 2 years after your request is resolved, then deleted. Ask us through the contact form if you want yours deleted sooner.
- Data in your browser stays there until you clear the site’s data in your browser settings.
- Stripe keeps its own payment records under its own legal obligations. Deleting your BizJourney account does not delete your customer record at Stripe; email us if you want it removed and we will ask Stripe to delete it where the law allows.
- Our database provider may keep backups for a limited time. Deleted data disappears from them as they expire.
6. Deleting your account
Go to Account and choose Delete account. This immediately cancels any active Pro subscription, then deletes your profile and sign-in details. If the subscription cannot be cancelled, nothing is deleted and you are asked to try again. The unused part of a paid month or year is not refunded, except where the law requires it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to your data protection authority. You can download a copy of your account data at any time with Account → Download my data, and delete your account as described above. For anything else, email us at the address in section 1 or use the contact form in Help & Support. We reply within 30 days.
8. Children
You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you are under 18, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission, and they must agree to any purchase. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we delete it.
9. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Each account can read and change only its own record, and billing fields can only be changed by our payment system. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you do not use elsewhere.
10. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. Before a significant change takes effect, we will tell signed-in users in the app or by email.
